Horse-drawn cart rides in the Northern part of The Bialowieza Forest
Because of smaller amount of tourists in the Northern part of The Bialowieza Forest you can see wild animals such as wolf or bison more often. Many natural attractions in the vicinity of the artificial lake Siemianowka and Strictly Protected Area Hwozna make it a perfect place for observing wildlife during horse cart rides.
We recommend following routes for horse cart rides with bonfire feasts:
Route number 1:
Starting point near the registered office of the Forestry Commission Browsk in Gruszki – ride across the Bialowieza Forest – bonfire in the place called “Dworny Gradek” or “ By Eustace” – return trip to Gruszki The duration of the horse cart ride with bonfire: 3-4 hours
Route numer 2:
Starting point near the guest house “Bialowieskie Ustronie” in Janowo near Narewka – ride across the Bialowieza Forest (to Kosy Most, to Gruszki or in the neighbourhood)- return trip to Janowo- bonfire on the edge of the Bialowieza Forest near the guest house “Bialowieskie Ustronie” or dinner; The duration of the horse cart ride with bonfire: 3-4 hours
Route number 3:
Starting point in the village of Siemianowka – ride across the Bialowieza Forest – bonfire in Maruszka near the observation platform on the panorama of the Narew Valley and artificial lake Siemianówka – return trip to Siemianowka; The duration of the horse cart ride with bonfire: 3-4 hours
Route number 4:
Starting point near the agritourism farmhouse “Bobrowa Zagroda” in Siemianowka (Lakowa Street 42) – ride across meadows of the Podrzeczka Valley – ride across the Bialowieza Forest – return trip to Siemianowka – bonfire near the farmhouse – The duration of the horse cart ride: up to 3 hours
The list of prices:
The cost of horse cart ride/sleigh ride: (maximum amount of people: 8 in case of adults and 12 in case of children): up to 3 hours 60 Euro + 20 Euro for every additional hour
The cost of house cart ride (Bonanza type): (maximum amount of people: 12 in case of adults and 16 in case of Children): up to 3 hours 75 Euro + 25 Euro for every additional hour
The price for preparing bonfire with eating service: 65 Euro – for the whole group
The cost of eating by the bonfire ( sausages, bread, tea, mustard, ketchup, disposable tableware): 5 Euro per person
There is a possibility of arranging menu for bonfire feast depending on customer`s expectations: babka ziemniaczana, kiszka ziemniaczana (regional dishes), bigos mysliwski, pea soup, stew, cast-iron pots with meat, potatoes and vegetables inside, “farmer`s table”, roasted pig or boar, hot tea, hot coffee, dried fruit compote, homemade cake etc.
We can also order an accordionist or hunting signals show that will make your bonfire feast more pleasant.
